FIRST SHOW OF THE SEASON COMING UP THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, AT KISKIWe invite all marching band fans to come out this Saturday night to enjoy the 9 bands that are scheduled to perform at the first show of PIMBA's 19th season coming up on September 6, at Kiski Area High School. Ciick on 'Events' within the menu, then on 'Kiski' to view the line-up and performance times.
Note that Davis Field is in downtown Vandergrift and not at Kiski Area HS.
Once again for 2014, this show will be in the 'Festival' format, where all bands will receive real-time audio commentary and their own ratings from the judges but no scores or placements will be announced. Directors and staffs will still meet with all judges afterwards as always to focus on early season input to improve their shows and help their students succeed.
2014 PIMBA SCHEDULEPIMBA's fall 2014 schedule includes five regular-season shows leading up to Championships at Penn Trafford High School. All bands throughout the tri-state area are invited to participate in either Festival Class or Competition Class. Bands of all sizes and styles are welcome to perform and receive input, audio commentary in real time and post-show dialogue with the judges as collective feedback help students and bands improve. Ratings and rankings are optional as per preference of the director.
PIMBA is thrilled that a record five bands will participating in Festival Class this season, including Freeport at the Kiski show; Plum at the Gateway show, Belle Vernon at the Norwin Show, Greater Latrobe at the Moon show, and Apollo-Ridge at the Deer Lakes show!
